Health Update

Today, mommy took Ewan to the pediatrician. Ever since he recovered from his fever in October he has had a cough. At first it got worse (lots of phlegm) and then it started to get better. This is what the nurse had predicted when we called about his fever so we were not concerned. We've been keeping him on an incline in his crib and vacuuming out his nose as needed. This past week however his cough stopped getting better. We decided it had been long enough without any improvement so we went to the doctor. Well, as it turns out Ewan is wheezing and that is probably prolonging his cough. The doctor thinks this is just left over from his illness and not an allergic reaction to anything. Ewan was given a nebulizer treatment of albuterol in the office and that seemed to help so we were sent home with a prescription for an inhaler. Hopefully this will do the trick otherwise we will be back to the doctor next week.
